still not get it,can somebody explain it.

PART66Online: Hey. It is just logic... in this case: sum of (Force * Distance) = sum of (Force * Distance) (11 * 2) + (8 * 1) = 30 * X To find X we must divide left part of equation to known value 30. So result is 1.

For the CGS system, the force is

  • the 'Newton' which produces an acceleration of 1cm/s2 for a mass of gram.
  • the 'dyne' which produces an acceleration of 1cm/s2 for a mass of gram.
  • the 'pd1' which produces an acceleration of 1 cm/s2 for a mass of gram.

The point at which an applied force overcomes friction and an object begins to move is the co-efficient of

  • limiting friction.
  • starting friction.
  • internal friction.

Lmiting fricion?

alberto: When talking about limiting friction you are talking about a limit of some sort of friction, which when exceeded an object will start to move.Friction can be static, dynamic or rolling. Static friction is that friction which is the the hardest to overcome so when exceeding the limiting friction of static friction you will overcome the static friction and the object will start to move. Rolling friction is the least hard to move so the limiting friction of rolling friction will be less when compaared to static friction.
